So, I’ve spent most of the day editing the first part of Differently Super, which is the first seven chapters. I am mostly cleaning up the weird grammar, missing words, and clunky sentences. I’m surprised that I am so willing to edit my own work as in the past I’ve treated every word I’ve typed as precious and unchangable.
Maybe I’ve finally grown up enough to see my art as a work in progress and it won’t be finished until I give it to someone else to polish it. Then again, I think the longer I hold on to it, the more I will be reluctant to let it go. Well, which ever it is, I’ve having a lot of fun with this. I wished I’d picked this up thirty years ago. Maybe by now I would have created something worth reading.
I know that getting readers will take time, nothing worth while is ever easy or quick. I do apperciate the few subscribers I have and the fellow writer, Dirty Sci-Fi Buddha or Kent Wayne, would likes all my posts. Thanks, Kent!
The reason I am doing this editing is two fold. One, it is a necessary part of the process, especially if you want to improve at your craft. Two, to make my writing a little more accessible, I am going to start recoding and audio file / first part audio book of my novel. I am hoping a few more people might give it a try. Stripe insists that I need to be selling something to have an account with them so I thought maybe charing like a dollar. Any thoughts?
Anyway, Thanks for reading! Slainte,
Nate
