Within the walls of this world,

We mortal beings are trapped.

We’ve lived our lives,

We’ve cherished our loved ones,

Until the day they are gone from our lives

And then we are trapped alone,

In a world where we are far from alone.

But, one day we too will leave

And join the others in the Summerlands

 

So fear not this world of sorrow

Do you best to leave it better than you found it

Make the world a magical place,

All it takes is compassion for others,

Laughter in the face of evil,

Doing the right thing because it is right,

Always taking the harder path,

Because we are of this world and it is of us.

 

The Summerlands live within us,

As the world is creates us so we create it back.

If you believe that there is an afterlife,

Then there is an afterlife.

You make the life you live

And we don’t always make it easy on ourselves.

So, find love and hold on tight to it

Find joy when and where you can

And pull it along with you to eternity.
